The 24 Group is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit that was founded in 2006 by a group of parents who met while one of their loved ones was in treatment for substance abuse. The choices that our loved ones made with regard to drug use placed them and us on a journey that no parent ever seeks; this journey is the common thread that binds us together.

The Third Annual Halk Walk...first steps for Recovery
was held October 11, 2008 and was a huge success!! This annual 5K Family fun walk along the Monon Trail in Carmel Indiana generates more support for the adolescent recovery community each year.This years walk raised funds to support treatment grants for young persons affected by the disease of addiction.Thanks to all of our sponsors and exhibitors, and to Chase the red tail Hawk for coming out this year. Also a special thanks to Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard for his support!! Thanks also to the many Carmel merchants who created the sales voucher this year providing a generous donation to the efforts of The 24 Group and this years walk.
